Welcome to Waffle Flower’s September 2021 Release Day! I’m happy to be hopping with the folks from Waffle Flower to show you all the fun new stuff awaiting you on the Waffle Flower website! This month, we’re looking to the change in season with some fall favorites with a sprinkling of everyday goodies! Be sure to check out each stop in today’s blog hop for fun, inspiration, and chances to win some of these new release goodies!

I love fall most of all but as much as I love leaves and trees I love flowers too and there is a beautiful, beautiful set in this release that instantly caught my eye: The Anemone Stamp set. So I made two very different projects with this stamp so as to give you an idea of how different a flower stamp can be depending on the technique you use:

For this project I decided to color the image using copies in light pink and blues with a hint of yellow. Then I made a shaker card using the Nesting Hexagon dies which are perfect for shakers and tucked some flowers in gold glitter cardstock (using the Spring dies)

For my second project I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear heat embossed it. Then I applied different Oxide Inks on different areas and added some white lines with a gelly roll pen. So simple but so very beautiful.

This project features the Cute leaf background stencil. As its name says, it is CUTE, so so cute. I decided to make some partial inking and using some wash tape blocked the upper and bottom part of the area I wanted to color. I used some blending bruses and Oxide Distress inks in a somewhat rainbow order. Then I die cut a window using the Oval frame dies on an A2 panel and stacked four oval frame dies for some dimension. Very clean and simple.

This project also features the Nesting Hexagon dies. As I said before, these dies are perfect to create shakers but I wanted to create a rainbow of hexagons so I die cut the five pieces twice out of white cardstock and ink blended them using Distress Oxide Inks. The sentiment is from the set Sentiment Additions 2 also from this September release.

This set is Two Sep Leaves stamp set and I love it. It is designed by Galina Filippenko and it includes five different leaves. I used them all in this project. First, I stamped the base layer in white pigment ink and then stamped them again offsetting the same layer. I started off with light colors and then used darker ones for the base of the leaves. Each time I inked the stamp I used a paper towel to soften the edges. Finally I stamped the veins (second layer) and added white dots with a white pen.

Galina Filippenko has also designed this gorgeous Circle Leave Shaker Die. I didn't turned this project into a shaker though. This set includes three small stand alone leaves so I die cut a bunch of white leaves which I colored with copics. Then I adhered them on the back of the Circle Leave and place this wreath on top of a light gray cardstock over which I had previously white heat embossed the Wood Grain Stamp Set.

This realease has another stunning stencil: the Maple Leave Background Stencil. I wanted to play with my Media Gloss Sprays so I placed the stencil on top of some watercolor paper I sprayed some green, blue, yellow and orange sprays. It dried very quickly and then all I had to do was add these cute squirrels from the set Home Sweet Home. The sentiment is from the set Pumkin House.

One of my favorite products from this release is the Mandala Stencil with matching dies. So versatile!!! There is a die for each layer and it has a total of four so you can play with color combos and decide whether you want to die cut each layer of die cut the white layers first and then stack them or just ink blend the mandala using the stencil and no die cut at all...the sky is the limit.

For this project I colored the mandala and just die cut two layers.I foam mounted the bigger one and placed the other one below for a different look. I placed this mandala on top of a super light pink A2 panel. If you look closely you'll notice the Cute leaf background stencil on this light pink panel. I was playing with that stencil before and used it with gloss paste so I decided to use it on this project.

For this project, I used just two layers. I colored them white the stencil in rainbow order and adhered them so they looked like flowers. I dried embossed the background for some dimension and then I just arranged them creating a rainbow.

My last project features the Mandala set along with the Maple Leaf Background Stencil. I created the background first using white embossing paste and then I colored the Mandala using green and blue Distress Oxide inks. Lastly I die cut the different layers of the Mandala and stacked them using foam.
